Abstract A high density experiment has been performed by gas puffing on CT-6B tokamak. The changes in the plasma parameters caused by the gas puffing are described. The ionization efficiency measured in the experiment is about 0.5. The dependence of density limit on the injected gas flux is given. The maximum line-averaged electron density achieved is 4x1013cm-3.
