Chin. Phys. Lett. 1984, 1 (1): 1-3 .
Abstract   PDF(pc) (38KB) ( 768 )
A double core event with ΣEγ 1000 TeV observed in MEC, is reported. The distributions of particles in the two cores are quite dissimilar from each other. The event is briefly discussed.

REN Jing - ru, KUANG Hao-huai, HUO An-xian, LU Sui - jing, SU Shi, WANG Dian-chen, HU Wen-jun, FAN Hai-kuen, WANG Cheng-rui*, CAO Pei-yuan*, LI Jin-yu*, LI Guang-ju**
Chin. Phys. Lett. 1984, 1 (1): 4-6 .
Abstract   PDF(pc) (45KB) ( 575 )
An analysis of the gamma-ray family ( ΣEγ 1300 TeV ) obtained with emulsion chambers at Mt. Kambala was made. The event is produced by one nuclear interaction occurred at an altitude less than 150 m above the chamber. The central region of the event is composed of 5 clusters. The character is tics of the event are discussed.

A NEW Tc FORMULA FOR SUPERCONDUCTORS
WU Hang-sheng, WENG Zheng-yu
Chin. Phys. Lett. 1984, 1 (1): 7-10 .
Abstract   PDF(pc) (51KB) ( 532 )
A formula of the critical temperature for superconductors with small λ is derived from the Eliashberg equation.
ON THE NONCONVERGENCE PROBLEM IN COMPUTING THE CAPACITY OF STRANGE ATTRACTORS
WANG Guang-rui, CHEN Shi-gang*, HAO Bai-lin**
Chin. Phys. Lett. 1984, 1 (1): 11-14 .
Abstract   PDF(pc) (57KB) ( 487 )
The convergence of box-counting algorithm for computing the capacity of strange attractors is affected by the discretization procedure, because the period of the difference equations differs from that of the original ODE'S and, in addition, a damping factor appears.
PHOTOLUMINESCENCE OF GaP(N, Te, Zn) UNDER HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE
ZHAO Xue-shu, LI Guo-hua, HAN He-xiang, WANG Zhao-ping, TANG Ru-ming*, HU Jing-zhu*
Chin. Phys. Lett. 1984, 1 (1): 15-18 .
Abstract   PDF(pc) (51KB) ( 522 )
Photoluminescence spectrum of Gap ( N, Te , Zn ) under hydrostatic pressure was measured at 77K. Pressure coefficients for Te donor level as well as energy levels of excitons bound to N, NN1, NN3, and neutral donor Te were obtained. The pressure shifts of these levels were discussed. The zero phonon line of free exciton in Gap was observed for the first time.
NITROGEN ISOELECTRONIC TRAPS IN GaAs
ZHAO Xue-shu, LI Guo-hua, HAN He-xiang, WANG Zhao-ping, TANG Ru-ming*, CHE Rong-zhen*
Chin. Phys. Lett. 1984, 1 (1): 19-22 .
Abstract   PDF(pc) (55KB) ( 433 )
The photoluminescence spectrum of N central cell potential bound exciton Nx as well as emission peak from deformation potential bound exclton have been observed under hydrostatic pressures. The variation of the electron-phonon coupling and effective bound exciton radius with pressure is discussed.
AMORPHOUS PHASE FORMATION OF Mo1-xGex, Mo1-xSix, FILMS AND THEIR SUPERCONDUCTING PROPERTIES
ZHAO Zhong-xian, MENG Ru-ling, ZHOU Ping, LI Lin
Chin. Phys. Lett. 1984, 1 (1): 23-26 .
Abstract   PDF(pc) (43KB) ( 601 )
Mo1-xGex, Mo1-xSix, films were prepared by getter sputtering onto liquid nitrogen cooled substrates. The amorphous phase formations were Ge > 22 at . % , Si > 18 at .% respectively. With the increase of Ge, Si content, Tc decreased from 6 to 3K in the amorphous state. The measured results of (dBc2/dT)Tc , Jc and ρ( 300K) /ρ(8K) indicated that the four chosen Mo1-xSix films exhibit fundamental characteristics of amorphous superconductors.

THE UNIFIED SOLUTION OF THE INCOMMENSURATE PHASE IN FERROELECTRICS
GUO Ru, YANG Zhen-qing
Chin. Phys. Lett. 1984, 1 (1): 27-30 .
Abstract   PDF(pc) (41KB) ( 527 )
We derive a unified multi-harmonic modulation solution of the incommensurate phase with a simple model by a method like that used in solving pendulum problems in mechanics. This solution reduces to single-harmonic modulation at the upper end of temperatures, and transforms into kink solution at the lower end of temperatures, The basic wave-vector decreases monotonically with temperature, as was observed in experimentation.
A KIND OF SINGULAR PERTURBATION METHOD FOR SOLVING THE BOLTZMANN EQUATION WITH SMALL KNUDSEN NUMBER
DING E-jiang, HUANG Zu-qia
Chin. Phys. Lett. 1984, 1 (1): 31-34 .
Abstract   PDF(pc) (57KB) ( 506 )
A singular perturbation method is used to remove secular terms in Hilbert expansion and Enskog expansion of the normal solution and those in Grad expansion of the " initial layer" solution of Boltzmann equation( B.e.) . Solving B. e . in the "boundary layer " is reduced to solving a set of linear algebraic equations.
BAUSCHINGER EFFECT AND COERCIVITY IN DUAL-PHASE STEELS
MA Ming-tu and CHEN Du-xing
Chin. Phys. Lett. 1984, 1 (1): 35-38 .
Abstract   PDF(pc) (57KB) ( 505 )
Initial flow stress in tension and tension plus compression and coercivity after those processes in dual-phase steels have been measured. It was found that the values of coercivity for tension plus compression are smaller than for pure tension, a phenomenon much like the Bauschinger effect in steels.

PENG Hong-an*, LI Jia-rong, QIU Zhong-ping
Chin. Phys. Lett. 1984, 1 (1): 39-42 .
Abstract   PDF(pc) (55KB) ( 418 )
Using the extremely sharp peak of backward cross section for polarized γ+e → H+e processes one could hopefully detect Higgs bosons in W-S model.
ANALYSIS OF THE SCALE PROPERTIES OF NUCLEAR STRUCTURE FUNCTION
LIU Feng, LI Jia-rong, LIU Lian-sou
Chin. Phys. Lett. 1984, 1 (1): 43-46 .
Abstract   PDF(pc) (41KB) ( 508 )
The structure function for the deep–inelastic scattering of electrons on He, Be, Al, Fe and Au are analysed. It is found that all these structure functions satisfy a kind of scale relation, and the scale parameter ξA in creases logarithmically with the nucleon number A.
