Abstract The lattice Boltzmann method is widely used in solving hydrodynamics for various systems. The accuracy of the extrapolation method for boundary conditions and Mei's method for curved boundary is not high enough. We propose a modified extrapolation method for boundary conditions. Numerical simulations conform the higher accuracy and stability compared with the other methods.
