A Compact and Wavelength-Tunable PPLN Electro-optics Q-Switched Laser with Intra-Cavity Optical Parametric Generation

Abstract We report a compact and wavelength-tunable periodically poled lithium niobate (PPLN) Q-switched laser with intra-cavity optical parametric generation, producing 8-ns, 10-μJ pulses at 10-kHz repetition rate when pumped with a 10-W diode laser at 808 nm. The output wavelength can be tuned from 1450 nm to 1600 nm. Multiple-pulse generation was observed in the experiment.
