Abstract Based on the recently proposed concepts of asymptotic behaviors, i.e. pure cooperator, pure defector and fluctuating strategy, we explore thoroughly the dynamical organization of the strategy pattern in evolutionary prisoner's dilemma game on scale-free networks.
